Black History Month / BEETHOVEN

Ludwig Van Beethoven 1770 to 1827
composer and pianist
leading figure in classic music
Brief history of classical and methodology of music

Beethoven is not really part of our Black History Month Series which concentrates on people who champion are cause to equality. He definitely is a Black Achiever.

More so then Beethoven being black, is the fact of classical music being Black people music originally! Whites {Europeans} were introduce to classical from the Black Moors who conquer Visigoth {modern day Spain & part of France} in 711c.e

*This story developed out health concerns!
Many Black people in America do not really care for classical or romantic music. This is due to racism in America. This is the second part slavery we are fighting {mental slavery} still letting others races {European} think for us and still to a large degree define us as a people.

Music as a health issues? There is substantial scientific evidence that classic music heals the the mind, body and soul!!! This was traced back to Africa were classical music was invented! So classical music is definitely Black music and not White people music!

Music was used in a hospice type setting. This is were the the word hospital comes from! Medical treatment in this country and the Western world is total backwards!!! First they poke, pry and cut on you. After that they say "there nothing more we can do for you". Then you are sent to hospice to? In which most cases people sub-come to their wounds {surgery}. The proper way to treat people is to put them in a stress free environment! First using mental exercises to induce and release certain chemicals {endorphin} in the brain. The most effective way of doing this is colors and music! "I talked about this in the topic BIO-RHYTHMS". Colors and music promote certain feelings in which promote health and cuts down stress.

The soul? Yes, the harp is known as the instrument that GOD loved the most! The harp is one the most important instruments played in classical music or thus the name romantic music!  From GOD and because it also played at romantic plays at the opera house!

The new harp is a piano? Yes, the piano is nothing but a enlarged harp turn on its side! The African people played no games when it came to music!!!

On the contrary the older you get the more rap music starts to give you headaches! The music is total unhealthy for you! It is designed on aggressive beats, drum rolls set on beats to march to war! This is why White people kept saying in the early days of rap music it is violent music! Us, Blacks was like its not we are just having fun! We really did not understand the beats the record companies were design for the lyrics!

Classical music is based upon a numbering system which is called the diatonic scale. The diatonic scales correlates which the human body and its function. This is what cause the healing process! In short the music realigns your glands and lymph nodes.

In Africa they would put strings on the persons body and play them to focus on a certain area of the body. Hospitals are coming around, some have a musical department in the hospital. They play classical music after surgery!

Now back to Beethoven, his nickname was the "Black Spaniard"! He was often referred to as a Blackamoor, "Black-Moor"! This was common knowledge during Beethoven life. When playing for many of the royal courts in Europe he was referred to as Beethoven the Blackamoor.

*NOTE
We as a people have to stop the self hatred! This is done by continue stereotypes, Blacks can not do this or that! The gift that Black people gave the world is culture! Everything we have comes from our African ancestors!

A personal story I took my mom on date! I took my mother to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She seem uninterested until we pulled up at the valet parking! There she saw the elite class of Detroit Black & White people. We mingled and talk with many people before and after the orchestra. She said she really enjoyed her self and the atmosphere, and was really shock to see some black face in the crowd. She grew- up during Detroit's  Motown Era and always believed that Black people had nothing to do with classical music! She still does not listen to classical music but she said she has a greater understanding of it!

Please, young people just believe in who you are! Let go of the those old stereotypes, and new opportunities will present themselves!
