neil and i went to the lecture and book signing along with others from our study group it was very good! michelle alexander had many good points in her lecture! am going to read the book, suggest everyone should get a copy, the new jim crow
I went to this lecture. Michelle Alexander was outstanding. The book "The New Jim Crow," is a must read for anyone who is concerned about the issue of mass incarceration and the effects it has on our people. In essence, she proposes that a first time, non-violent, drug felon, has less right in this country than a slave during slavery. Sounds far fetched? Read the book, she backs up every claim with data.
