Japan's Pyramid City

                                               Japan's Pyramid City

Japan's Pyramid City is currently underwater due to a massive earthquake. The pyramids are located near the city of Yonaguni Jima, Japan.

This pyramid city is nicknamed the "Japanese Atlantis"! The city was sunk about 2,000 years ago by a earthquake. The leading research on the underwater site believes the city is about 5,000 years old?

The largest pyramid in the city is step pyramid. Once again show African influence in the pyramid building style. Step pyramid were invented in Africa.

Little is know about the pyramids they were only discovered in the mid 1990s. They sit about 300 feet below the water on the ocean floor, which makes progress very slow. More will be learn as better underwater technology becomes available.

live, learn and love
